Immediately after registration you will be shipped the required course manuals, as well as step-by-step directions on how to prepare for a successful PALS class experience. Between the pre-course preparation and the day long teaching, you will be ready to succeed! PALS Provider Cards are awarded the same day as class.
Our instructors are very experienced and knowledgeable. Each has undergone the rigorous training required by the American Heart Association in order to be eligible to teach PALS. In addition, CPR Tampa has further trained each on how to create a relaxed, stress-free classroom. Their goal is help you be successful in acquiring your certification.
In order to help assure your success, immediately after registration you will be physically mailed the required PALS manual and a pre-course study plan. Most of our students spend around two weeks studying and becoming familiar with the pre-course material. There is also a pre-course online test that you will take which will point out areas in which you may need more work.
An overview of the course content covered in a PALS refresher course includes the following: 1 and 2 rescuer infant and child CPR, assessments, respiratory management, rhythm disturbances, IO access, team concept, respiratory, shock and cardiac emergencies. The course terminates with written and skills testing.
As stated earlier, courses taught by CPR Tampa’s instructors at the Tarpon Springs location focus on providing a classroom setting that is conducive to achieving optimal learning. Our philosophy is that a stress-free and friendly environment is necessary for the highest level of material comprehension to occur.
